From Betws-y-Coed

Turn off the A5 onto the A470 heading through Blaenau Ffestiniog and beyond to LLan Ffestiniog. On reaching the T junction in the village turn left and in a few meters you will pass under a disused railway bridge. Immediately after this turn left signposted Bala. Continue a few hundred metres, passing a large detached house on the right,  until you reach a row of three cottages. Quarryman's Cottage (Bwthyn Y Chwelylwr) is the third cottage in the terrace on the right. You can park immediately outside or on the left further up the road.

From Dolgellau

Take A470 towards Betws-y-Coed/Ffestiniog. After several miles turn right signed Ffestiniog. This is still A470. Follow this for a few miles until you see a disused railway bridge before the village of Llan Ffestiniog. Turn immediately right before this disused bridge signed to Bala. Continue a few hundred metres passing a large detached house on the right  until you reach a row of three cottages. Quarryman's Cottage (Bwthyn Y Chwelylwr) is the third cottage in the terrace on the right. You can park immediately outside or on the left further up the road.
