Within 10 minutes...Due to its perfect location, the cottage is ideally suited for exploring the rugged terrain of this unspoilt part of Wales. Surrounding the cottage are public footpaths with running streams which criss cross fields leading to mountains beyond. The village itself is a few minutes walk: handy for emergency provisions or a relaxing evening drink and meal. The famous Ffestiniog railway starts from Blaenau Ffestiniog 3 miles away. This is ‘must do’ activity as the historical engine winds its way through breathtaking scenery until it reaches journey’s end in Portmadog 9 miles away.

Borth-y-Guest and Criccieth are delightful coastal village which retain much charm from yesteryear. Birdwatching and mountain biking are popular pursuits in the area – many guests explore the woodlands of Coed-y-Brenin with it’s mountain bike tracks and bird watching hideouts. Betws-y-Coed, with it’s famous raging Swallow Falls is well worth a visit. Beddgelert is a popular spot for those wishing to amble by the river, not forgetting the Welsh cream teas which are on offer from tea shops in the village.
