Introduction

Quarryman’s cottage, beautifully appointed and fully modernised, nestles in the heart of Snowdonia’s National Park. The cottage is on the fringe of Llan Ffestiniog, a small village 20 minutes from the miles of unspoilt golden sands at Harlech and Borth-y-Gest. The village, containing pub, post office and village stores, can be reached on foot within 10 minutes.

The cottage, dating back to 19^th century, has been lovingly restored and modernised yet the oak beams, inglenook fireplace, log burner and exposed stone walls give a sense of tradition and heritage.

The cottage has a small porch leading to the lounge with kitchenette which has a four ring electric hob, free standing oven, microwave, toaster, kettle and fridge/freezer. There is a good range of utensils, pots/pans and matching white crockery. There is a built in breakfast bar with four tall stools. The living accommodation has a modern flat screen TV, DVD player and a small selection of DVDs.There is also a selection of board games, maps and guides to the area. The stairs lead off to the landing which overlooks the south facing small terrace. Doors lead off to the bedrooms (one double, one with bunks) and large shower room. The double bedroom contains a tall cupboard, the second bedroom has children's bunks and a set of drawers. Both bedrooms overlook stunning mountain scenery. The spacious shower room retains the original oak floor, overhead perlin and exposed stonework to one wall. There is a white low flush WC, matching large washbasin and tiled shower area*. The cottage is fully carpeted. To the front of the cottage there is a rustic bench overlooking mountains which makes it a perfect spot to finish the day with a glass of wine.
